Des \u00e9gouts au m\u00e9tro, des ruelles sombres aux palaces encore debout, Vienne est aussi une cit\u00e9 dans laquelle se vivent les trafics les plus inacceptables, les rencontres les plus improbables, les faux-semblants et les d\u00e9guisements. Une cit\u00e9, surtout, dans laquelle l\u2019espionnage international tente, parfois d\u00e9sesp\u00e9r\u00e9ment, de pr\u00e9parer une nouvelle Europe.<\/p>\n<p>Et c\u2019est dans ce monde \u00e0 la recherche de lui-m\u00eame que d\u00e9barquent les deux h\u00e9ros de cet album. Graham Greene, auteur \u00e0 la recherche d\u2019inspiration, de d\u00e9cors, d\u2019ambiances, mais aussi personnage trouble qui semble s\u2019amuser \u00e0 espionner. Et ensuite, la belle Elisabeth, actrice, sans doute, aventuri\u00e8re, certainement, espionne non repentie aussi et surtout !<\/p>\n<p>Miles Hyman, le dessinateur, nous a habitu\u00e9s \u00e0 nous plonger \u00e0 sa suite dans des ann\u00e9es disparues. Pour Jean-Luc Fromental, le sc\u00e9nariste, cette immersion dans la fin des ann\u00e9es 40 allait de soi, vu le sujet choisi. Il y a dans cette d\u00e9marche double une forme de nostalgie, sans doute. C\u2019est elle, accompagnatrice de choix, qui ponctue et rythme le r\u00e9cit, narratrice d\u2019une histoire dans laquelle s\u2019engluent r\u00e9alit\u00e9s et sentiments, fiction litt\u00e9raire et r\u00e9alit\u00e9s glauques.<\/p>\n<p>Jean-Luc Fromental est un auteur extr\u00eamement \u00e9clectique, romancier, sc\u00e9nariste pour le cin\u00e9ma et la t\u00e9l\u00e9 (Navarro, par exemple\u2026), r\u00e9dacteur en chef du mythique M\u00e9tal Hurlant.<\/p>\n<p>Et sa mani\u00e8re d\u2019envisager un sc\u00e9nario, de le construire, d\u2019aimer pi\u00e9ger son lecteur en jouant sans cesse sur les apparences et les sentiments, sa fa\u00e7on d\u2019\u00e9crire se nourrit bien \u00e9videmment de tous ses centres d\u2019int\u00e9r\u00eat, de toutes ses incursions dans les nombreux domaines de la culture populaire. Des planches dessin\u00e9es au fusain, donc en noir et blanc, exclusivement. De quoi pouvoir admirer de tout pr\u00e8s la ma\u00eetrise technique de Miles Hyman. De quoi aussi appr\u00e9cier, en comparant la planche originale et le r\u00e9sultat final dans l\u2019album, de comprendre que la technique de colorisation assist\u00e9e par ordinateur peut \u00eatre proche de la perfection artistique !<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Miles Hyman, comme le dit Jean-Luc Fromental, est un chirurgien du dessin, et il le prouve, tant graphiquement que gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 ces couleurs et ces lumi\u00e8res qu\u2019il r\u00e9ussit \u00e0 imprimer \u00e0 tout son livre. Bien s\u00fbr, la lecture n\u2019en est pas toujours facile, ce qui est une caract\u00e9ristique de toutes les \u0153uvres qui s\u2019int\u00e9ressent \u00e0 l\u2019espionnage. Bien s\u00fbr aussi, cette lecture sera plus ais\u00e9e pour ceux qui ont vu \u00ab\u00a0Le Troisi\u00e8me Homme \u00a0\u00bb et qui ont lu Graham Greene.<\/p>\n<p>Mais cet album est aussi un excellent livre qui se savoure autant avec les yeux qu\u2019avec l\u2019intelligence.
